Domain
A domain name is an address for your website. This website's domain is digipiv.com. If you are looking to host your own website, especially using WordPress, you need to own a domain dedicated to that website. You can choose from .com, .org, .pt, .co.za, .co.uk, .co, and many more. What would you want your domain name to be? mybusiness.com? awesomephotos.co? lighting.pt? It can be anything you want.
Hosting
When you have a domain, in order to have a few email accounts or even start building your website, you need hosting. Hosting is the space on the internet that you rent per annum to host your files. Yes in the cloud. Think of a good old-fashioned postbox. The postal address is like your domain name, and the box itself is your hosting. In order to run a website and have a custom email address, you need both.
Registration/Transfer
If this is a new domain that does not yet exist, we will register this new domain under your name. However, if you already own the domain name, but it is being hosted by another service provider, we can transfer your domain and attach it to your secure DIGIPIV hosted server.
